Pro Bowl DT Donald will be Grand Marshall as the Rams join as Champion Sponsor
LOS ANGELES (April 20th, 2017) — Defensive tackle Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams organization will participate in Make-A-Wish® Greater Los Angeles’ 10th Annual Walk For Wishes on April 22nd. Donald will serve as Grand Marshall and the Rams organization has signed on as a Champion Sponsor of the event, which is taking place in their current home stadium, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Donald, Rams Defensive Tackle Dominique Easley, Rams cheerleaders and Rampage, the team’s mascot, will help start the Walk with the Walk Ambassadors – former wish kids Will, Jewel, and Sam. Donald, who has been a supporter of Make-A-Wish since his rookie season, won $51,000 for Make-A-Wish in the Xbox NFL Player Charity Challenge this past December.
“I encourage the community to come out and help the Rams support Make-A-Wish and their important mission of granting wishes for these young heroes, who inspire us,” said Donald.
As a Champion Sponsor, the Rams will host several interactive games and activities for participants to play after the Walk. The Rams have long been a committed partner to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with a relationship lasting more than two decades.
“We’re thrilled to have the Rams back in Los Angeles so they can work with us to make a difference in this region,” said Neal Aton, President and CEO, Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles. “The Rams’ friendship with Make-A-Wish spans the last 20 years, during which they raised more than $2 million for our kids. We truly appreciate the team’s long-standing tradition of supporting their community through philanthropy. We look forward to continue to raise funds and grant wishes together.”
The 10th Annual Walk For Wishes will take place Saturday, April 22nd at 9 a.m. at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and have live music, food, and activities for all ages. Sign up to participate and help fundraise to grant more wishes in Los Angeles at la.wish.org/walk.
