Manage your own fundraising event and help fund a wish with help from your friends and family. Once your event gets approved, your possibilities are endless as you work towards making a true impact on a child and family facing the challenges associated with fighting a life-threatening medical condition.
You have the power to make wishes come true! If you have landed here, you are interested in organizing an external event for Make-A-Wish®
Greater Los Angeles.
Once you've decided on your fundraising idea (for example, hosting a golf tournament or organizing an office jeans day, silent auction or happy hour), simply encourage your friends, family and coworkers to support your effort and possibly serve on your committee. If you raise $8,000 or more, you can adopt a child’s wish
Before you start planning your event, take a moment to review our Fundraising Event & Campaign Handbook
How To Get You Event Approved
Once you have decided on the type of event you would like to host and when you would like to host it, the first step toward getting approval from Make-A-Wish is to complete, sign and return the Special Event Form and License Agreement
. Proposals are reviewed every Friday. You will be contacted by a Make-A-Wish representative when your form is received. If approved, a signed copy of the License Agreement will be returned to you with further instruction on next steps. Please note, this agreement must be signed by a Make-A-Wish staff member before you start publicizing your event.
